Differences between three-phase asynchronous motors and synchronous motors

Differences between three-phase asynchronous motors and synchronous motors

Whether it is a synchronous motor or an asynchronous motor, they both consist of a stator and a rotor. As the name suggests, the stator is the fixed part of the three-phase asynchronous motor and the rotor is the rotating part of the motor.

Thyristor speed control technology for AC motors

Thyristor speed control technology for AC motors

In recent years, the trend of DC brushless motors instead of DC brushed motors. DC brushless motor is to replace the traditional carbon brush commutation with electronic components, which will solve the shortcomings of brushed motor. Because the brushless motor does not have carbon brushes, so the work process noise is very small, which in some hospitals, schools, banks and other quiet places will highlight its advantages, brushless motor because there is no carbon brush work process will not have sparks, which makes the DC brushless motor in some flammable and explosive occasions to show their strengths, there is an even more important is the long service life, because of brush motor brush friction will make the carbon brushes perishable, and the brushless motor life will be longer than the brushless motor, the brushless motor life will be longer than the carbon brush. Brushless motor life will be much longer than the brush motor life, because the brushless motor uses the magnetic field of induction, there is no substantial contact, so it makes the brushless motor faster.

How are industrial automation motors selected?

How are industrial automation motors selected?

Understanding the major types of loads, motors and applications can help simplify the selection of industrial motors and accessories. There are many aspects to consider when selecting an industrial motor, such as application, operational, mechanical and environmental issues. In general, you can choose from AC motors, DC motors or servo/stepper motors. Knowing which one to use depends on the industrial application and if there are any special needs. Depending on the type of load the motor is driving, industrial motors require a constant or variable torque and horsepower. The size of the load, the required speed and acceleration/deceleration - especially if it is fast and/or frequent - will determine the torque and horsepower required. Consideration also needs to be given to the requirements for controlling the speed and position of the motor.
